Argentinosaurus was first identified from fossils found in Argentina in 1987. Only a few fossils of bone exist. A herbivore that used its long neck to sweep across the ground in search of ferns and bushes and reached into conifers. Inside the stomach round stones "gastroliths" would have helped grind and break down the vegetation for digestion.
