Velociraptor meaning "swift seizer" lived 75 to 71 million years ago in the Cretaceous period. Velociraptor had a strange upturned jaw that was lined with 26-28 teeth spaced evenly on each side, these teeth had heavy serrations on one edge/side facing the back of the mouth. This can be seen on the tooth in this replica. The Foot Claw on the 2nd digit of the foot of velociraptor was hooked and sickle-shaped it could grow to 6.5cm in length. It is thought that is was very useful for restraining struggling prey or used to tear into flesh.
